Snacks + Drinks + Networking = Successful Party!

On Thursday, June 12th, Slamdot hosted a networking event with the Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce. It was our sixth time hosting a Chamber event here at our store, and as always we had a full house and a great time! Snacks were munched, drinks were imbibed, business cards were exchanged, door prizes were given out - fun was had!

Delicious munchies and beverages were provided by Rothchild Catering (whose shiny new Slamdot website is currently in development!) - Melissa and I particularly loved the tarts filled with a mixture of cream cheese and brie. MmMmmmm. They also brought adorable (and tasty tasty!) cookies customized with the Slamdot logo on the icing, as you can see in the photo gallery below. Sean Jr. certainly seemed to enjoy his! (And I may have enjoyed a few too many myself … )

Thanks to Bettye Sisco and Julie Predny from the Chamber for all of their help and work in organizing the event. Also, of course, many thanks to everyone who attended! To those who couldn’t make it, we hope to see you at our next event - by which time we’ll be settled into our new office! More info on that development coming soon!

A little shout out as well to the folks at Cru Bistro & Wine Bar across the street (who also, by the way, make a spectacular burger). Even the most prepared Boy Scout can be a victim of equipment failure, and when our trusty corkscrew decided that it had screwed its last cork, they made sure we were well equipped to keep the wine flowing until our backup arrived!

All in all, it was a thoroughly successful evening, and we look forward to many repeat occasions!
