We're a small team of renegades, out to change the world. We started in 2005 with a dream of making web hosting better. We did that, and in 2009, we fixed web design too. We have strong opinions about the way things ought to be done, and that's how we like to do things. So far, it's worked.

We believe service is everything. You are not an account. You're not a user. You are a living, breathing person with specific needs and we totally get that. We are here for you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Whenever you need anything, we'll be there. We never drop the ball, and we always follow through. You can expect greatness from us, because that's the standard we hold ourselves to.

We Believe in Simplicity

We've made web hosting as painless as it gets. With one username and password to manage everything, there's no lost passwords, no forgetting where to go for what, and no manual required for getting around. Our homegrown control panel is the reason why our customers rarely need help with managing their domain names or hosting accounts.

In 2009, we opened our first Slamdot Store, a brick and mortar retail store for buying websites and getting help in-person. We changed web design from a mysterious, often confusing process to a relaxing, personal shopping experience where all prices and configurations are advertised.

We Believe in Principles

A dirty little secret in the world of web hosting is this: most services are oversold. That basically means that they're betting on you not using all of the resources you're paying for, so they can sell them to someone else. Oddly enough, overselling has become an accepted practice, causing companies to compete by offering resources they don't have, at prices they can't afford. Sound familiar?

We do not oversell our resources. You are free to use every byte that comes with your plan. We use quality hardware, whereas most of our competitors use desktop computers as servers. Our customer service team is based right here in the United States of America, and you'll only get our world-class control panel with us, because we built it.
